THE RECIPE!!!
super easy and shrimple to make :-) serves: a lot @ time to make: like an hour
1. melt the butter in a pot, and toss your chopped celery and onions and garlic in there and let simmer until it smells good :-)
2. pour in the broth and the 2 cans of tomatoes. add the seasoning. forget about the soup for 15 minutes or so
3. use a soup blender (or an actual blender if you're brave enough. but watch out) to blend up all the tomatoes and other chunks until smooth. if you can't do this, it's okay to skip this step :-)
4. strain your tomato soup into another pot!!! do this over the sink, and if you can, have someone help you with this. you can use the stuff left over to spread on toast and stuff it's seriously so good
5. add in your heavy cream and mix it into the soup. and youre done !!! feel free to toast some sourdough and/or some shredded cheese to your serving @

a webpage all about bisque... yes... its seriously my favorite food. i love bisque so much. it is so fun to make. yay
why bisque?
haha well funny story. one day i got my hands on a bread bowl, and i felt inspired to make a soup for it. i remembered that one time i had a really good tomato bisque and grilled cheese... so i decided to make bisque! and ive been making it ever since. i cannot stress enough how much i love bisque actually. can you guys believe im writing my personal statement for college applications about bisque
bisque graphics
gonna make tomato bisque themed stamps one day lol
@
ranking times ive made tomato bisque
as of september 2025 i have made tomato bisque 4 times. in this section i shall talk about them.
the first time: june 3, 2025
the first time i made tomato bisque, it was like in june and i followed the instructions verbatim from whatever website i found. it was pretty good :-), however the recipe called for a cup of cheddar cheese so i added it... it tasted good but it kind of ruined the texture for me LOL. so for future bisques i decided to leave out the cheese and it tastes a lot better :-) also fun aiden trivia: so far this has been the first and only time i ate my bisque out of a bread bowl.
the second time: august 16, 2025
i like to call this one the poor man's bisque because i actually ran out of bouillon this time so i just had to use water and salt :-( but as always, it was still very yummy. bad bisque is not even bad bisque it is still really good bisque thats just how good bisque is #bisquenation
the third time: august 25, 2025
not even 10 days since the last time LOL. this was when i came down with a cold :'( so the most reasonable thing to do when you're sick is.. of course! make more tomato bisque!!!! @ however something dastardly happened when i tried to open the tomato cans... they splattered all over me :( so i sought my revenge by brutally cooking and eating the tomatoes that tried to hurt me
the fourth time: september 3, 2025
i do not exactly remember this one but it was still pretty good. i think i made this one because i still had heavy cream left over and i didn't want it to go to waste. i tried pairing it with mozzarella balls too but those were kinda bland in comparision with the bisque. oh well :-)
other soups and stuff
sometimes i do something completely unexpected and... heh... make soup other than tomato bisque! heh... im so evil
clam chowder
like a month ago i made clam chowder. it was pretty good. apparently there's this thing called "clam juice" that is "readily available at stores" ??? guess whos making clam juice popsicles. anyways i ended up making super hearty clam chowder so i ended up stretching it out a bit. pretty good. umm 7.5/10
